B L V K  (pronounced /bl-ak/) ; (the "V" is silent. silent letters are weird. we like weird)

B L V K wakesurf collective is the brain child of mediocre wakesurfer and even less talented ocean surfer, Bo McCallum. But where he lacks in riding ability, he definitely makes up for in passion, design knowledge and craftsmanship. For years the land locked wannabe surfer begged the top wakeboard companies to build a proper surf style board for behind the boat, with the visual and functional aspects of an ocean board. A contrast to the wakeboard design theories and aesthetics they were currently using. After 8 years, enough was enough, in 2016 he started researching ocean surfboard design and how he could bring this feeling behind the boat.

Through months collecting the tools, building a shaping room in his back shed, endless hours watching tutorial videos, long conversations with surfboard shapers and reading countless design theory papers, the first few proto-types were produced. To his surprise they surfed ridiculously good and met his needs faster than expected. Not long after, the original sales we made and Australia's first "Boutique" wake surfboard company was born! Our shapes have already come a long way, and we'll continue to refine these designs. We believe this is the closest feeling to ocean surfing behind the boat.  Watch this space.
